Personal injury: An eye-opening New Year's Eve hazard

New Year's Eve is one of the most enjoyable holidays of the year. People are usually filled with hope about the possibilities of a fresh year and do not want their goodwill destroyed for any reason. Unfortunately, this holiday can be fraught with danger if you are not careful.

Traumatic events that cause personal injury to the spinal cord

Physical trauma endured by the human body can lead to several different types of personal injury. These include contusions, lacerations, bone breaks and many others. One of the most serious injuries that can occur from physical trauma is damage to the spinal cord. Injuries of this type often lead to debilitating consequences and will likely affect the victim for the rest of his or her life.

How do you prove fault in a medical malpractice case?

It may sound like a silly question to ask, but it is an important one. You may assume that medical malpractice cases speak for themselves, and sometimes they do! There is even a legal term for this called "res ipsa," which means that "it speaks for itself." Since medical malpractice cases can be very complicated, res ipsa cases make it easier for the plaintiff to establish that they were harmed under circumstances that qualify as medical malpractice.
